Taricha Torosa Sierrae: This salamander, the Taricha Torosa Sierrae, or Sierra Newt, can be found on the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The Sierra Newt, along with its cousin, Taricha Torosa Torosa, contains tetrodotoxin. A neurotoxin that is more toxic than cyanide, so don't eat them!
