Steam Vent: The sulfuric yellow mixed with reddish-orange soil around Sulfur Works in Lassen Volcanic National Park is pockmarked with boiling mud pots and holes venting steam. Despite the colorful beauty of the area, poisonous sulfurous gases, boiling water and mud make this a dangerous place to stray off the path!
