Credit & Copyright: NPOD Purple Patch:This patch of purple wildflowers waves in the wind along the Carrisa Highway as it crosses over the Temblor Mountain Range in Southern California. Interestingly, the Temblor Range separates the San Andreas Fault and Carrizo Plain to the west, and the several of California's largest oil fields to the east.
