Credit & Copyright: NPOD Path Through the Moss:Moss drapes any vegetation strong enough to support it in the Hoh Rain Forest. One of only a small number of temperate rain forests in the world, the Hoh is located on the Olympic Peninsula, in Washington state, and is a part of Olympic National Park. Like this picture shows, the lower branches on most of the deciduous trees were all short, stubby moss growers.
