Granite Top: These aren't counter tops! The pale gray granite almost blends into the clouds that appear tantalizingly out of the reach of these craggy peaks. Castle Crags was the site of The Battle of Castle Crags, a conflict between the local Native American tribes and US settlers, and was supposedly the last battle where the Native Americans fought only with bow and arrow.
