Credit & Copyright: Ann Parks from Kendrick, Idaho Warmer Days:NPOD viewer Ann Parks submitted this picture of a deserted beach at the south end of the town of Gold Beach, Oregon. Interestingly, one of only two mailboat routes remaining in the US originates at Gold Beach. Named for placer mines at a beach near the town, from this picture it looks like the town should have been named Gravel Beach.
