Kousa Dogwood: "An import from Asia, the ornamental Kousa dogwood (cornus kousa) blooms several weeks later than the native American dogwood (cornus florida) and is distinguishable by its pointed “petals,” which are actually bracts that surround the tiny green flowers at their center."
