Oddball: "Walking through a little wood today, I found this feather soft blossom standing all on its own. An oddball from another world.?

I asked: what is your name? It simply smiled and said: we flowers are not concerned with the labels you people give us. We are just here to give pleasure to the eye of the beholder.

And for all I care, you can call me buttercup."

Oh thank you Greg. I had my friends here in a spin, rummaging through their local knowledge. (I'm from the northern hemisphere :) ) Thanks again, it really pleases me.

Lovely photo, Christine. We know them as 'Storm Lillies' as they appear usually around the time the pre-Wet Season thunderstorms arrive.
