Nebraska about 9years ago said: Thank you Harsha and Rob! Snowies' normal diet consists of small mammals like lemmings, voles and mice as well as rabbits, and birds as large as small geese. We released live mice onto the snow which the owls can see from as far away as a half mile. Snowy Owls mostly spend their lives in the arctic but younger ones migrate south during part of the winter.
