There's Mica In Them There Hills: Cliffs of Mica stick out of the top of the aptly named "Mica Mountain" in Idaho. Mica was used historically as small windows in stoves and boilers because it was better than glass at handling the heat without cracking. Today it is used in a wide variety of electronics and building materials.
