Lake Kirkwood: Not far from the Kirkwood ski resort, this little lake nestles among the granite outcroppings and boulders that make up this region of the Sierra Nevada's. Several buildings are dotted around the lake, but none have electricity, and no roads lead to them. Visitors have to walk or canoe to get to them!
